How Do People Get Involved?
Three things you need to know are force, fraud, and coercion. For example, men will often offer modeling contracts to girls. They flatter the girls and make them think they are getting a fantastic opportunity. They bait the girl and then switch on them - they force and use coercion to manipulate the victims to exploit themselves.
Fastest Growing Form of Trafficking in the U.S.
Learn how surprisingly, the fastest form of trafficking is familial trafficking. The predator is most likely a parent, teacher, coach, or another familiar figure. It’s very dangerous because it means that the oppressor is close enough to you to have access to you. In today’s world, ordinary children with two parents and a nice home can be sexually exploited and trafficked while living at home. It can happen through a familial figure such as a family member, a coach, or a teacher, or it can happen online.
Where Does Trafficking Happen?
Globally
On a global scale, the sex trafficking industry is a 152 BILLION dollar industry a year with 32 billion being in the U.S. alone. It would rank as the top corporation in the world if trafficking could be a corporation.
U.S. & Mexico Border
We have seen an epic spike in sex trafficking across the U.S. border. When a child leaves his or her home country, family, and infrastructure and becomes a migrant - taking a treacherous track through dangerous territories to get to the U.S. border, that child will for sure pass through cartel territory and most often the child will be exploited prior to arriving at our border.
Local
The #1 thing people do not know about sex trafficking in the U.S. is that it’s local. It’s the most prevalent thing in our society and it’s right under our noses because those who are performing it are skilled. It’s in your neighborhood, school district, and church community. 50% divorce rate in church and over 50% of the church is watching porn.
How Is It Happening?
The most prevalent form is online and it’s very nefarious - Predators engage on social media in a casual conversation and it’s the questions they are asking to gain information and coerce your child through a soft approach and they’re reading into your child’s response. They identify whether your child is a soft target or is a high-risk profile.

Situational Awareness
The ability to spot danger is situational awareness and it’s never been more important than today. A free country with freer people means more relaxed people and awareness goes down. What’s normal what’s abnormal? What’s healthy what’s unhealthy? Can you differentiate what’s a healthy approach online on social media and what’s an unhealthy approach? Would you be able to rely on your own intuition?
